Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sr. Regional Sales Director to lead our business expansion efforts and drive revenue growth. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, nurturing and expanding existing customer relationships, and surpassing sales targets through strategic and proactive sales initiatives for Veyer. Your in-depth knowledge of our organization's products and services (e.g., Private Fleet, Dedicated Truckload Fleet, Material Handling, Distribution Services, etc.) will be essential in showcasing their value to potential clients and establishing a robust sales pipeline.

 

To excel in this role, you must possess a profound understanding of the 3PL and logistics landscape, including emerging trends like outsourcing, transportation management, and warehouse optimization. Your familiarity with customer needs in this industry, such as efficient goods movement, timely delivery, and cost optimization, will be crucial in crafting tailored solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

 

As a highly motivated and results-oriented individual, you must have a proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities. Your exceptional communication and negotiation abilities are vital, as you will engage with key stakeholders and forge mutually beneficial partnerships. Experience in a start-up environment or new business venture is highly preferred.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to expand our market presence and achieve sales goals by defined geography. Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals i.e., negotiate and finalize sales agreements/contracts with customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless onboarding and successful implementation of new customer accounts.
  • Nurture and strengthen existing client relationships, understanding their evolving needs and maximizing client retention.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to target and acquire new customers in the given geography. Strong focus on revenue growth and meeting sales targets and meeting sales goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to identify potential sales strategies and opportunities. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities through effective prospecting and networking activities.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics to drive improvement and achieve revenue targets.

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, related field or equivalent experience
  •  MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the 3PL and logistics industry.   
  • Written and verbal English skills
  • Proven track record of acquiring new customers and achieving sales targets
  • In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, processes, and methodologies
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative sales strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and trust with clients and internal teams.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in proposals and contracts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment, adapting quickly to changing market dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Takes initiative and excellent time management.
  • Strong self-management skills with ability to effectively collaborate with peers and management

Compensation Range = Minimum: $128,800 to Maximum: $140,000 (for Salaried/Exempt roles)
